Welcome to the Aquamarine Class Page
Hello and welcome to our special page for Reception! We are really lucky to be part of a foundation unit, with lots of different areas to explore which we share with nursery! We have a lovely cosy book corner, a special writing place (though we love to write wherever we can!), a great maths areas as well as lots of other inviting areas for us to learn in! We have an outdoor area so we can learn outside and inside. The children have lots of fun learning through play!
Our home for the year!
In Reception, there is me, Miss Wood the class teacher. I have been working at the school for 6 years now. I really enjoy working in the early years! We also have Mrs Cording (HLTA), Mrs Yarrow and Miss Clifton.
Busy, busy Reception children
The children have settled well into their new class and are keen to take part! They are enjoying getting stuck into our current topic of ‘It’s good to be me’ and have lots of fun ideas of their own, which we include in our daily provision areas! They have particularly enjoyed learning about the 5 sense and using this to create their very own ‘crazy faces’.
Take a look!
Still to come…..
We will be starting our letters and sounds sessions which help us to become super readers and writers! We will be looking at what makes us special and exploring the place where we live, as well as learning about Harvest and Autumn time!!
We have a termly newsletter which will keep everyone informed about what we are doing and what we will be learning about in the future, as well as upcoming events and diary dates. So look out for this!!
